After a long time I update the site today. Move some of my favorites series to the canceled list and put some of the new ones I enjoying at the time. In my Literary Corner put the character of the week(should say of the year or something like that). And after struggling with Gypsies for a long time, I finally decide to scrath it and beginning again. I first wrote that one when I was in high school as a second part for Hanoi but reading what I write in the notebooks let me see that I definitely have change a lot since then. And to be fair I wasn't feeling the story anymore the way it was. I consider throw it completely but some of the characters and the ideas are still good so I decided to re-write it. I have a third part on a notebook for that series and I decided to mix the two so don't know what would happen after Gypsies. I think the story almost have run its course. Unless after it something new comes to mind with the place. Probably will try to update some of my other works that are catching dust in notebooks in my room. And continue with the Prisma series that is more vivid in my mind right now. So I put the new first chapter of Gypsies, the new version. In other posts later hopefully before the 2011 ends I will put some of the games I have been playing, the books I have been reading and my thoughts in some of the series.
Después de un largo tiempo finalmente renové mi página. Movi algunas de mis series favoritas a la lista de series canceladas y pusé algunas de las nuevas que estoy disfrutando en estos momentos. En mi Rincón Literario pusé el Personaje del Mes(debo llamarlo del año o algo por el estilo). Luego de pelear con Gypsies por mucho tiempo, me decidí a descartarla y comenzar de nuevo. La escribi por primera vez cuando estaba en escuela superior como una segunda parte de Hanoi pero leyendo lo que estaba escrito en mis libretas me dejo ver que he cambiado un montón desde entonces.Y para ser justa, la historia que estaba completa no me atraía como para cuando la escribi, pensé eliminarla por completa pero aún tiene personajes e ideas que me atraen así que decidí empezarla nuevamente. Tenía una tercera parte en una libreta para esa serie y decidi unirlas ambas así que no se que va a pasar después de Gypsies. Creo que la historia casi ya completó su curso a menos que cuando la terminé se me ocurra alguna nueva historia con el lugar.
Lo más probable es que trate de actualizar otros de mis trabajos que están cogiendo polvo en libretas en mi cuarto. Y continue con la serie de Prisma que es la que esta más fresca en mi mente y me tiene súper enganchada. Así que puse el primer cápitulo de Gypsies, la versión nueva. En otros posts espero que antes de que acabe el 2011 pondré los juegos que he jugado, los libros que he leído y que me han parecido algunas de las series.
After a long time finally I play Black Mirror 3, as I was expecting it was awesome. It was a worthy conclusion for an awesome series. The pros: graphics, characters, story. I love visiting Willow Creek again, seeing the old places and looking the new ones. As always seeing the interaction with the old characters and the new ones. Darren continues to be an hilarious character even half posessed, love some of his comments about Mordred. And Murphy's Gordon souvenirs continue to be hilarious as the series advance. Also love that as they promise they explain the curse of the Gordons origin and give us more background of the history of Marcus & Mordred, the founders of the Gordon's and the center of all the curse. And of course, explain the siginificance of the Black Mirror. One detail I love specially after playing the series and enjoy characters like Bates, is the new character of Edward asking for the job of butler in the Black Mirror castle, that was a nice touch. You could say Darren have his new Bates. Cons: is the end of an amazing story, I didn't wanted to end. Definitely my favorite of 2011, oh well, that is the year I play it. ja,ja,ja...
Another one I finally can play was 15 days, I was waiting for the box product but since it doesn't look like it will happen I decided to download it. This one I have read a lot of critics, but I tend to read everything and is the premise of the game caught my interest play it anyway. This way I have play games that I truly enjoy and that aren't necessary a mayority like. Guess what? I like it and definitely enjoy it. I can see some of the critics about it, is definitely kind of more movie than game, is kind of a "24" episode. But heck, I like "24". Pros: graphics, cutscenes, characters, story. I simply enjoy following the story of this characters, specially poor Jack the things he have to suffer following this three. He's definitely the unluckiest special agent I have seen. I totally love the different characters personalities and how they blend with each others in the game. Definitely enjoy seeing the story unravel and how they get together at the end. Wouldn't mind seeing another adventure with this four great characters, five is you count McBride. He's a very important part in their operation. Cons Not for me) is probably not the adventure many like, so check it out first in a demo. I personally enjoy it and have a fun time.
And now, counting the days for Secret Files 3 and Memento Mori 2. Two of my favorite game series, looking forward to another adventure of Nina & Max; Lara & Max. Can't wait.
As for books, I'm waiting for my copy of Hit List by Laurell K. Hamilton, Dead Reckoning by Charlaine Harris. I have Hunters of Dune, Sandworms of Dune, Paul of Dune by Brian Herbert & Kevin J. Anderson to read and George R.R. Martin Books 1-4 of the Songs of Ice And Fire series to read before Games of Thrones Season 2 begins. As you see I have many reading time ahead.
As for tv series I'm frustrated because my favorites have been chop one by one, is frustrating see so many awesome concepts cut early because of the "ratings" without a change to progress. I was coping with no more Stargate on tv and the end of The Event & V when I read yesterday that they canceled Camelot. Only one season and they chop it, and it have so much potential is sad to see it go. So bye bye Clive Standen(Archer-RH) now I have to wait for a another series to bring some of the awesome actors of RH since they cancel Camelot and Harry Lloyd was kill too soon in Game of Thrones. So now waiting to see Torchwood, hoping to not see too many changes that destroy what Torchwood means to me. So far the trailers, ads etc looks awesome so I'm crossing fingers the magic is still there. Same story for Strike Back, it definitely will not be the same without John Porter(Richard Armitage) that is like 24 without Jack Bauer. But I'm hoping it still have some things of the one that make me love this series. Time will tell.
Luego de un tiempo finalmente jugé Black Mirror 3, como esperaba es estúpendo. Fue una excelente conclusión para una estúpenda serie. Los pros: gráficas, personajes, historia. Me encantó visitar Willow Creek de nuevo, explorar nuevamente los lugares ya conocidos y explorar los nuevos. Como siempre ver el intercambio con los personajes ya conocidos y los nuevos. Darren sigue siendo comiquisimo aún medio poseído, me encantaron varios de sus comentarios sobre Mordred. Y la colección de souvenirs sobre los Gordons de Murphy se pone más cómica según la serie avanza. Algo que me encantó fue que como prometieron explicarón los origenes de la maldición de los Gordons y nos dierón más detalles de la historia de Marcus y Mordred, los fundadores de los Gordons y los personajes principales en el centro de toda la maldición. Y por supuesto explicaron el significado del espejo o portal que le da nombre a la serie. Un detalle que me encantó especialmente luego de jugar la serie y disfrutar de personajes como Bates, es el nuevo personaje de Edward pidiendo trabajo como mayordomo el el castillo de Black Mirror, ese fue un lindo detalle. Se puede decir que Darren ahora tiene a su nuevo Bates. Cons: es el final de una estúpenda historia y una divertida aventura. No quería que se terminará. Definitivamente mi favorito del 2011, pues bien, ese es el año que lo jugé. ja,ja,ja...
Otro que finalmente pude jugar fue 15 days, estaba esperando que saliera en cd pero como parece que no va a suceder decidi darle un download. Acerca de este he leído muchísimas críticas, pero como es usual para mi tiendo a leer todo lo que encuentro y si la premisa del juego capta mi intéres lo juego como quiera. De esta manera he jugado juegos que he disfrutado y que no son necesariamente favoritos de la mayoría. Adivinen qué? Me gustó y definitivamente lo disfruté. Puedo ver algunas de las críticas sobre este, definitivamente es más pélicula que juego, es un tipo de episodio de "24". Pero, a mi me gusta "24", Pros: gráficas, escenas entre días, personajes, historia. Simplemente disfruté siguiendo la historia de estos personajes, especialmente el pobre Jack, lo que tuvo que sufrir siguiendo a estos tres. El es definitivamente el agente especial más desafortunado que haya visto. También me encantó las diferentes personalidades de los personajes principales y como son utilizadas en el juego. No hay duda que disfrute viendo la historia desarrollarse y como se juntan al final. No me molestaría para nada ver otra aventura con estos cuatro excelentes personajes, cinco si contamos a McBride. El es una parte importante de la operación. Cons No para mi) Chequealo primero en demo por si por casualidad caes en el grupo que no le gustó. Yo personalmente lo disfruté y me divertí muchísimo.

Finally after waiting for a long time I have the opportunity to play Lost Horizon. I love it definitely one of my favorites of 2011. Pros: The story, great action, graphics, characters, cutscenes. Cons: I wanted more. ja,ja,ja.... Love the characters looking forwad to more adventures of Fenton & Kim, don't mind to alternate between stories of Max & Nina and Fenton & Kim. Awesome characters.
Another game I finished recently was Gray Matter, it was awesome. Is a shame that it ends because I wanted to continue playing it. And it isn't short because it have eight chapters although I find David chapters a bit short than the ones with Sam. This game is just brilliant I get hooked instantly and doesn't want it to end. Pros: The story, cutscenes, the ambience, the music, the magic tricks, all the Daedalus club search. Cons: it ends too soon for me, the bonus points leaving me without nothing at the end, and messages that goes to fast in the loading and never could read. But apart from that I totally love it, so far is My Favorite of the 2011 although I'm sure that place will be swept away by Black Mirror 3 when I play it. Nothing against this brilliant game but is just that Black Mirror 3 is the one I'm expecting all this year. But love the game, love the characters and definitely will love to see more of them because I think both of them were warming to each other at the end and it will be interesting to see an adventure with this two after living for a time together. Love how different they're are and how similar background they have and how the story play with this. I have to say that what make this story brilliant is the story and the characters. As for the cutscenes I personally love it, there have been many critics about it. Yes, they're different from what usually we seen in other adventures games because it was drawing style or like sketches to use a word don't know is it is the correct one but I love the style and find it appropiate to the style and ambience of the game. Some of them were even beautiful, so it was a new concept I didn't mind. Some of the characters doesn't look the same in the scenes as the rest of the game specially Harvey but anyway was an interesting style and appropiate to the style of this game.
In other things Mad Dogs as I expected was awesome, I'm glad I can find it and see it. This mini series was just great, it have humor, intrigue, action and conflict. The story was great and seeing unravel was fun, the end was good although it let me wanting to see more. Generally that happen with this kind of open endings. With John Simm(The Master-Dr.Who), Philip Glenister (Galvin-Demons) and Max Beesley(Tom-Survivors) in it make it a must see for me. It was short but intense and interesting.
Finalmente luego de esperar por un largo tiempo tuve la oportunidad de jugar Lost Horizon. Me encanta, definitivamente uno de mis favoritos del 2011. Pros: la historia, estúpenda acción, excelentes gráficas, los personajes, las escenas. Cons: Quería más. ja,ja,ja... Me encantaron los personajes así que esperando ver más aventuras de Fenton & Kim. No me molestaría para nada disfrutar las aventuras de Max & Nina y luego las de Fenton & Kim. Estúpendos personajes.
Otro juego que terminé recientemente fue Gray Matter, fue estúpendo. No quería que se acabará y no es corto porque tiene ocho cápitulos aunque yo encontré los cápitulos de David más cortos que los de Sam. Este juego es simplemente estúpendo me envolvió desde el principio y no quería que terminará. Pros: la historia, las escenas, el ambiente, la música, los trucos de magia y la busqueda del Daedalus Club. Cons: se terminó muy rápido, buscar lograr los bonos en puntos para no ver nada al final y los mensajes mientras suben las escenas(demasiado rápido y no me daba tiempo a leerlos). Pero a pesar de esto me encantó hasta ahora es mi favorito del 2011 aunque se que Black Mirror 3 se va a llevar ese puesto cuando lo juegue. Nada en contra de este estúpendo juego es simplemente que Black Mirror 3 es el juego que he estado esperando desde que comenzó el año. En conclusión me encantó el juego, me encantaron los personajes y definitivamente me encantaría ver otras historias con ellos porque al final empezaron a encariñarse cada uno a su manera. Y defnitivamente sería interesante ver aventuras de ellos dos luego de vivir un tiempo juntos. Uno de los puntos que me encantó fue lo diferente que son ambos personajes y a la misma vez las circunstancias similares que han vivido. Y como la historia desarrolla esto. Personalmente lo que hace este juego estúpendo es la historia y los personajes. En cuanto a las escenas personalmente a mi me encantaron aunque se han criticado muchísimo. Si, son diferentes a lo que usualmente uno ve en otros juegos de aventuras porque son dibujadas por usar una palabra, no se si es la correcta. Pero es un estilo que parece sketch. Tengo que admitir que luego de acostumbrarme a lo diferente me encantaron y me parecen apropiadas para el estilo y el ambiente del juego. Algunas fueron dibujos bellísimos así que no me molestó ni le quitó mi interes al juego. Lo único malo es que en algunas los personajes no se parecían en nada en las escenas al personaje durante el juego especialmente Harvey pero aún así fue un estilo interesante y en este juego apropiado.
En otros temas Mad Dogs como esperaba fue estúpenda, me alegra que pude encontrarla y verla. Esta mini series estuvo genial. Tiene humor, intriga, acción y conflicto. La historia fue estúpenda y verla desarrollarse fue divertido, el final fue bueno aunque me dejo esperando más. Generalmente esto sucede con este estilo de finales inconclusos. El que John Simm(The Master-Dr. Who), Philip Glenister(Galvin-Demons) y Max Beesley(Tom-Survivors) estuvieran en la misma hizo que me interesara desde que leí acerca de la misma. Fue corta pero intensa e interesante.
